Undoubtedly an awesome car, these details will refresh your memory of the legendary Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. The Vista Cruisers were more like full-size cars with their 122-inch wheelbase, while the F-85 & Cutlass wagons used the same 115-inch span as the rest of the mid-size lineup of sedans, hardtops, and convertibles. Assembled at the Lasing Car Assembly in Michigan, the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser is a mid-size station wagon that was introduced in 1964, and it shares its body style with the Buick Sport Wagon. You can see them below in a couple of brochure illustrations. Seeing this 1967 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Custom at the 2019 International Station Wagon Club meet brought to mind (for me anyway) a much more basic (non-Custom) Vista Cruiser without the imitation wood trim, as well as the even more basic F-85 and Cutlass wagons which didn’t have the raised & windowed roofline.
